I have been performing bodywork for more than 27 years. I am a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, licensed Massage Therapist, certified REIKI and Polarity practitioner, and have studied personal training. I’m interested in how the body works and how it functions differently with each person I work with. My challenge is to unwind the puzzle of the body to promote a more pain-free and balanced lifestyle.
I can formulate a basic plan that you can bring to your physical therapist, trainer, chiropractor or others who are working with you to restore function. Or, you have the option of treatment with me.
About Orthopedic Bodywork and Conditioning Assessments:
This an innovative style of therapeutics that combines aspects of massage, physical therapy and personal training into one discipline. Through detailed bodywork, we can identify the imbalance(s) in the musculoskeletal system, from head to toe, and with identification of the imbalances we can create a plan or “script” for exercise and therapy in order to bring about a more balanced, healthy moving system.
Patterns and imbalances in the body’s strength and conditioning, and even differences in the two sides of the body, affect posture, movement and function. Through deep tissue bodywork, I will help you identify the causes of your pain cycles and give you options which will ease or eliminate them. Some plans are simple and focused on one muscle, others are complex and may involve exercise, stretching and focused bodywork. Every body is truly different and must be assessed individually and fixed individually to bring proper balance to the system.
